ONSITE INTERNSHIP – CORONA, CA

This internship is %100 onsite in Corona, CA. Applicants must be able to commute to our office daily. Remote and hybrid work are not available.

Job Purpose

This in-person AI & Business Process Improvement Intern supports Architectural Design & Signs in identifying, evaluating, and implementing practical applications of Artificial Intelligence and automation throughout the organization. This position is responsible for learning departmental workflows, analyzing existing processes, researching AI solutions, and recommending improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support business growth. Through collaboration with employees across multiple departments, the intern will help bridge the gap between emerging technology and day-to-day business operations while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a professional manufacturing and construction-adjacent environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Workflow Analysis: Meet with employees across various departments to learn current operational workflows, shadow daily business processes, and formally document procedures.
  • Opportunity Identification: Analyze repetitive, manual, or time-consuming tasks to pinpoint critical bottlenecks and recommend structured, AI-driven solutions.
  • Research & Innovation: Proactively research modern AI tools, automation platforms, low-code solutions, and emerging technologies relevant to cross-departmental operations.
  • Implementation & Testing: Assist with the structured testing, sandboxing, and deployment of approved AI tools, custom prompts, and process improvement workflows.
  • Documentation & Training: Create comprehensive internal documentation, visual process maps, and clear training materials to enable seamless employee onboarding and tool adoption.
  • Reporting & Presentation: Formulate objective data-backed findings and formally present practical optimization recommendations to senior management and executive leaders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate actively with interdisciplinary team members to support broader strategic operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

Education, Training, & Experience

  • Required: Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline.
  • Required: Successful completion of relevant academic coursework covering business operations, information technology, data analysis, artificial intelligence, project management, or equivalent disciplines.
  • Required: Basic foundational familiarity with core Artificial Intelligence concepts, Prompt Engineering, and rapidly emerging technological trends.
  • Preferred: Academic projects, research, or direct coursework explicitly involving AI tools, workflow optimization, automation systems, or advanced data analytics.
  • Preferred: Prior internship, part-time professional employment, volunteer experience, or campus leadership roles that clearly demonstrate self-starter initiative, problem-solving, and collaboration.
  • Preferred: Practical familiarity or exposure to operating within a structured business, manufacturing, logistics, or project-based operational environment.

Core Technical & Professional Competencies

  • AI & Automation Literacy: Hands-on experience applying modern generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini) or robotic process automation workflows.
  • Software & Systems: Proficiency in mainstream ERP systems along with the standard Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Analytical & Critical Thinking: Strong capability to systematically unpack complex workflows, identify operational gaps/inefficiencies, and formulate highly practical technological solutions.
  • Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven capacity to construct cross-departmental relationships across all organizational tiers.
  • Organization & Time Management: Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to independently juggle concurrent assignments and hit tight deadlines.
  • Adaptability: A proactive learning mindset with the agility to absorb new software tools and adjust rapidly to changing strategic business needs.
