Finance
Finance is one of the most popular career paths at Miami Herbert, and careers in finance frequently require early engagement. Many of our students in finance aspire to careers in investment banking, private equity, asset management, equity research, sales & trading, wealth management and corporate finance. For Wall Street roles, hiring for junior internships can take place as early as fall of sophomore year, and graduate student hiring can start the summer prior to their first courses. As a result, students interested in these roles need to start early. Undergraduate students are encouraged to attend Wall Street Orientation sessions, join relevant clubs including TargetCanes, Century Fund, and/or Tamid for relevant skills and meeting our network. Undergraduate students are also encouraged to apply to Bermont Carlin, which trains students for Wall Street searches and, for those selected, leads to a trek to Wall Street in fall of sophomore year. Graduate students are encouraged to take advantage of networking and training programs the Unanue career center will begin sharing with them as soon as they enroll. MHBS has dedicated career advisors who can help with these searches and students are encouraged to avail themselves of all campus resources.
